About the Institute

IIAD aims to create a new generation of creative thinkers, designers, and innovators who can solve real-world problems through design. The institute combines creative learning with practical industry experience. Its teaching style is different from traditional classroom education — here, students learn through projects, teamwork, and hands-on practice.

The campus provides a dynamic environment that inspires imagination and experimentation. It has modern design studios, workshops, computer labs, and digital classrooms where students can explore and bring their ideas to life.

Courses Offered

IIAD offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in collaboration with Kingston University. The major programs include:

  • BA (Hons) Fashion Design

  • BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design

  • BA (Hons) Communication Design

  • BA (Hons) Fashion Business Management

  • MA (Fashion Design)

These programs are designed to meet international academic standards and focus on creative thinking, technical skills, and industry readiness. Students receive guidance from Indian and international faculty, making their learning truly global.

Learning Approach

The learning process at IIAD is based on studio-based education, which means students spend most of their time working on creative projects rather than memorizing theory. They learn by doing, experimenting, and presenting their ideas.

Students participate in workshops, exhibitions, and live industry projects where they get real-world experience. The teaching focuses on building strong design thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills. The use of modern tools, design software, and materials helps students understand the practical side of design.

International Collaboration

One of IIAD’s biggest strengths is its academic partnership with Kingston University, London. This allows students to receive an internationally recognized degree while studying in India. The collaboration ensures that the curriculum, teaching quality, and assessment methods match global standards.

Students also get opportunities for exchange programs, global projects, and interaction with international faculty. This exposure helps them understand design trends and cultures from around the world.

Industry Exposure and Internships

IIAD maintains strong connections with the creative and business industries. Students regularly work on live projects with fashion brands, architecture firms, advertising agencies, and media companies. The institute organizes internships and industrial visits to help students gain professional experience and build a strong portfolio.
